Predicting Boone & Crockett Score
Often times hunters wonder what a particular buck would score if he were older. We have developed an equation that will predict what a buck will score if the buck followed normal age-related growth patterns. This equation was developed from deer harvested in Mississippi and Texas, so most likely the equation will apply very well to your area. Simply enter the Boone & Crockett score in the box below, select the age of the buck, and the equation will do the rest.
For example, say I was lucky enough to harvest a buck that scored 125 inches and a wildlife biologist examined the jawbone and determined the buck to be 3.5 years old. What would this buck have scored at 4.5 or 5.5 years of age? Enter 125 in the B&C score box, click on the 3.5 button, and click the calculate button. The predicted Boone & Crockett scores of 145 inches at 4.5 years of age, and 157 inches at 5.5 years of age will be shown in the boxes below.
Enter Antler Measurements
If you have these antler measurements you can enter the values in the box below, click on the calculate button, and an estimate of B&C score will be produced. Remember — this is only an estimate.
